DynSite

If you have a dynamic IP address, then every time you connect/reconnect to the web, your IP address changes. This is a problem if you want to remotely connect to your PC or if you run a server on your computer and you want to connect to it. It is a problem addressed by DynSite, a tool that will automatically update your dynamic IP address every time it changes.

The setup wizard that helps you install DynSite will have you pick one of four installation methods: Full, Standard, Lite, and Custom. The Full installation is made up of the following elements: application and help files; dynamic DNS service plug-ins; optional user interface languages.

When you’re done with the setup wizard, you will be presented with a getting started assistant that will help you get started with DynSite. It will help you set up an account with dynamic DNS service, select and configure the connections that DynSite will monitor, configure your account, host names and other items.

Please note that you don’t have all the time in the world to play around with the functionality DynSite has to offer. You see, the application is not free, it is only free to try. This means you have a trial period of 30 days at your disposal to evaluate DynSite’s functionality. Once this trial period is over, you will have to get a license to keep using DynSite.

DynSite is compatible with the most DNS protocols and updates IP addresses on dynamic DNS services.
